The physics concept being demonstrated here is the eggs resistance to breaking due to a couple of things. First is the height in which I am dropping it from which is not insanely high but also not super close to my bed. Second is that because the height is not super high it is less time until it hits the bed resulting in less force when it does hit the bed. Finally, the reason the egg does not break is that it is falling upon a super soft surface which is my bed. When it falls the cushion of the bed absorbs the shock and distributes it away from just the egg.
